Pre-procedure Consultation Required

Certain patients require a pre procedure consultation to manage their co-morbidities prior to an open access procedure.

These consultations are billed at a review rate, and do not address the underlying issue for referral.

The following patients require a pre-procedure consultation are

​

1/ Age over 80

2/ Diabetic on OHG other than Metformin

3/ Patients on antiplatelet agents (Aspirin is fine), warfarin, or NOAC’s

4/ Severe co-morbidities ie organ failure, dementia etc
