Fees

Dr Ryan is a no gap provider.

If you have private health insurance, your health fund will be billed directly for your procedure, and there will be no out of pocket expense.

If you are uninsured, there will be a small gap to make up the shortfall between the MBS schedule and what Medicare reimburses. Payment will be required at the time of booking.

If you have any questions please contact us for further clarification.

Insured Patients

Dr Ryan is a “No Gap Provider[LS1] ”, meaning that there are no out of pocket expenses for Gastroscopies, Colonoscopies or Inpatient Care. Your health fund will be billed directly for the cost of your procedure or inpatient care.

Dr Ryan’s Anaesthetists and Pathology companies are  usually “No Gap Providers” as well.

This means that if you have a procedure with Dr Ryan and you have the appropriate level of cover (you need to confirm with your Health Insurance Policy Provider that you are covered for Gastroscopy (MBS Item Number varies[LS2]  from 30473, 30478, 30479) and Colonoscopy (MBS Items numbers vary from 32222 – 322229), your only cost will be the excess on your health insurance policy

Please also make sure that you do not have to serve out a waiting period for a pre-existing condition.

Please contact your Health Insure to make sure that you are covered for the procedure and in (Day) patient care.

Dr Ryan will fill out your Pre-existing Medical Condition, at no charge, if needed.
